Girls’ Generation, who has been making global music fans feel excited with their worldwide promotion, will release the music video teaser of ‘The Boys.’
The teaser video of ‘The Boys’ will be released through the official website (http://girlsgeneration.smtown.com), YouTube SMTOWN channel (http://www.youtube.com/smtown) and facebook SMTOWN page (http://www.facebook.com/smtown) on the 15th at 00:00 a.m. The teaser video of ‘The Boys’ will be released in two versions (Korean and English) so it is expected to make massive headlines once again.
Moreover, since an additional teaser video of ‘The Boys’ will be released on the 17th at 00:00a.m., it is expected to receive an enthusiastic response from global music fans who have been looking forward to Girls’ Generation’s new music and performance.
Also, with the simultaneous worldwide release of ‘The Boys’ on the 19th, Girls’ Generation will release the 3rd album in Korea and the music video will be released as well. Therefore, it is predicted to be so-called ‘Girls’ Generation DAY’ on October 19th.
Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation signed with internationally-renowned music label Universal Music Group ahead of their music release in the U.S. Girls’ Generation will release their maxi single with their new song "The Boys" through Interscope Records in November, the same company that distributes music for Lady Gaga, Eminem, and the Black Eyed Peas etc.

In a way to promote the new romantic comedy starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, ‘Friends With Benefits‘, an online survey was conducted via portal site Nate.
The survey asked users, ‘Which Celebrity is too attractive to Keep Just As A Friend?‘ With 94% of all the votes, SNSD‘sYoona dominated and was chosen #1.
Nate conducts numerous surveys on their website, and this one in particular was conducted from the 4th to the 9th. It was chosen as Nate’s best poll yet, thanks to the many fans who admire Yoona’s doll-like features & her innocent, bubbly charm.
Yoona is one of Hallyu’s top stars, not only as a member of SNSD but she is also making her mark in the acting world.
Yoona is acting alongside actor Jang Geun Suk in the new series ‘Love Rain‘- a project comparable to Bae Yong Jun & Choi Ji Woo‘s Winter Sonata.
Runner-ups for the #2 spot on the survey was a tie between 2PM‘s Taecyeon, 4minute‘s HyunA, and B2ST‘s Lee Kikwangwith 2% of the votes respectively.
Netizens who participated in the survey commented, “Of course Yoona!”, “So attractive. So beautiful, Yoona!”, and “Yoona is so awesome! Looking forward to your third album.”

Wonder Girls and Girl's Generation, the top two girl groups will meet face to face in November.
Wonder Girls who have been concentrating on their United States activities for a while will be making a long awaited come back in Korea in November. Having American activities lined up, the Wonder Girls will release a single and only have a month to spend in Korea. After releasing "Two Different Tears" last year in May, it has been a year and a half since they've performed on native soil.
The Wonder Girls have been working on movie, "Wonder Girls at the Apollo" all as actresses within the film. After completing filming, it is said that they came back to Korea on October 9 to start recording their next album.
SNSD is planning to release their new album October 19 and making their comeback at the end of October. They will start full fledged activities in November. This album was supposed to be released October 5, however it got delayed by two weeks.
Recently SNSD has released teaser trailers for their new "The Boys" album through SM Entertainment's YouTube channel. The number of views by netizens sky rocketed to the millions within a few days, previewing the scale of popularity the girls are capable of. They raised the already high expectations through their fresh new concept.
Because of the Wonder Girls focus on foreign activities over a longer period of time, SNSD seems to have the upper hand in popularity and recognition in Korea as of now. However, for the amount of time that they have been away, the more anticipation there seems to be for the Wonder Girls' comeback by their fans. The foreseeable competition between the two girl groups is gaining more and more attention.
In the past, when the Wonder Girls were active SNSD would be resting and vice versa. However, this November, album sales, chart rankings, and music show rankings between the two groups will go head to head, and inevitably there will be a group that will come out on top of the other. This anticipated competition between Wonder Girls and SNSD have gotten the fans riled up already. There are rumors that fans on both sides are getting ready to not lose to the other.
