Girls’ Generation to be Named as Honorary Ambassador for ‘2010-2012 VISIT KOREA YEAR’
The Visit Korea Committee (chairman, Dongbin Shin) will be appointing Girls’ Generation as the Honorary Ambassador for ‘2010-2012 VISIT KOREA YEAR’ at the Lotte Hotel Crystal Ballroom at 2p.m. August 19th.
As the representative artist of the Korean wave, Girls’ Generation will start working with Hallyu star, Yongjoon Bae, figure queen, Yuna Kim, and a popular animated character, Pororo as honorary ambassador of ‘2010-2012 Visit Korea Year.’ Also, Girls’ Generation has already introduced Korea’s charms at the ‘Korea Visit Year SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS’ which was held on the 10th and 11th of June in Paris, France as the leader of K-POP fever.
The secretary-general of Visit Korea Committee, Joomin Hong revealed “Recently, K-POP has been becoming a hot issue throughout the world, therefore we are anticipating an increase in Visit Korea Year promotions as well as the value of Korean sightseeing brand by appointing Girls’ Generation who has been leading Korean wave.”
