Tiffany was selected to star in the stage musical ‘Fame’.
From November 25th onwards, audience will be able see Tiffany at Woori Financial Art Hall in Seoul Olympic Park as she was casted to play in a musical ‘Fame’. Tiffany will be playing the role of ‘Carmen Diaz’, who dreams to be a famous star in the shortest time possible.
‘Fame’ is a broadway musical based on the 1980 movie of the same title by director Alan Parker. The story reflects the dream and love of the students, who passed the strict auditions conducted by the PA Performing Arts School, which has a the best reputation in the field of arts.
Besides Tiffany, this upcoming musical will be graced by a star studded line-up, consisting of Son HoYoung, Super Junior’s EunHyuk, CSJH’s Lina, Trax’s Jung Mo and other idol stars.
So far, among SNSD’s members, Jessica and Taeyeon were also previously involved in musicals. Taeyeon took part in ‘Midnight Sun’ while Jessica played Elle Woods in ‘Legally Blonde’.

SNSD’s 1st Asia Tour Concert ‘Into The New World’ DVD secured the no.1 spot on Japan’s Tower Records DVD Weekly Sales Chart.
The 2-discs concert DVD captures live performances of their hit songs such as ‘Girls’ Generation’, ‘Oh!’, ‘Santa Baby’, Tiffany’s solo performance of ‘Umbrella’, Seohyun’s ‘Sixteen Going On Seventeen’, etc, as well as rehearsals, waiting room scenes at the the Encore Concert held in Seoul Olympic Park Fencing Stadium in February 2010.
Besides that, the DVD set also includes each of the members’ individual interviews as well as making films.

SNSD, Super Junior and other artistes will be participating in the 2011 Asia Song Festival.
On August 24th, Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) stated, “SNSD, Super Junior, Japanese group Perfume, Taiwanese singer and actor Peter Ho, Zhou Bi Chang, etc will be performing at the 2011 Asia Song Festival which will be held in Daegu Stadium on October 15th”.
Among other artistes who will be performing at the 2011 Asia Song festival – well-known singer and actor from Hong Kong, Leo Ku who have sold 35 albums to date with total recorded sales of more than 900,000 copies and famous singer from Thailand, Tata Young who have sold close to 10 million copies of her albums since debut.
Meanwhile, the 2nd and 3rd round line-ups will be unveiled next month.

Due to the intense interest surrounding a supposed “leaked demo” of SNSD’s new single, representatives of SM Entertainmentwere forced to release a statement in order to clarify the issue.
Recently, a video was posted on YouTube under the caption “SNSD 3rd full album demo song leaked“. Netizens discovered that a song called “Hiccup“ by Andrew Jackson was listed under SNSD’s name on the Korea Music Copyright Association website. It led them to visit Andrew Jackson’s MySpace page, and after hearing the track, fans began to believe that SNSD’s demo song had indeed been leaked.
A SM Entertainment representative explained, “This song will not be included in the album that SNSD will be releasing in Korea soon. The future of this song has not yet been confirmed.”
In the end, the supposed ‘leaked demo’ was only a track buoyed up by speculation and rumors. At this time, the video has been erased at SM’s request.
Meanwhile, SNSD is currently promoting in Japan while preparing for a comeback in Korea.
