Girls’ Generation‘s Asia Tour has officially come to an end, but will be remembered for setting an impressive record of drawing in the highest attendance by a Korean girl group.
The Asia tour was held in Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, covering a total of 11 cities along with 23 concerts. According to SM Entertainment, the tour drew in an astounding number of 230,000 in paid attendance! This is by far the top-grossing tour ever held by a Korean girl group outside of the country.
The last concert was held in Bangkok, Thailand at the Impact Arena on February 12th at 6PM KST. Fans went wild over Girls’ Generation’s hot tracks, “Gee“, “Tell Me Your Wish“, “Hoot” and more. A total of 11,000 spectators were present at the time.
Aside from the fans’ wild chants, Girls’ Generation’s limitless popularity was also proven by the intense competition between Thailand’s media outlets like ‘True Music‘ and ‘TNN‘ who fought to receive better coverage of the event.
After another successful concert, the nine beauties shared their thoughts on their latest performance. ”We are so happy to receive such warm love by our fans. It was an unforgettable experience. We sincerely thank everyone who came. We will work harder to meet you guys again with a better performance.”

Earlier this month, rumors were swirling of a possible duet between Girls’ Generation‘s Seohyun and R&B singer Yoon Gun, later confirmed by the release of a 45-second teaser. Now, the pair have finally released the full digital single, “Don’t say no“.
Singer-songwriter Yoon Gun personally composed this track, which is said to be a very mellow and relaxing piece. “Don’t say no” weaves together the tranquil sounds of a guitar, piano, and even a string quartet. The delicate composition is supported by lyrics that tell of a man who confesses to his love.
The song itself blends the warmth of Yoon Gun’s vocals with the clarity of Seohyun’s melodic tone. It’s a great song to usher in the coming Spring.
