Last year, an internet manga site distributed nude cartoon strips of Girls’ Generation and Kara, degrading not only their reputation, but the entire Korean Wave.
On March 10th, SBS‘ ’We want to know that‘ went out to investigate the source behind the circulated mangas, protests against actress Kim Tae Hee, and the growing Anti-Korean sentiment in Japan.
According to what SBS found, the hentai mangas were not circulated online by random users. The creators deliberately stated that female K-pop idols were giving sexual favors to powerful individuals in order to gain fame, supporting their claims with unfounded interviews.
SBS tried to interview the publishers, but were rejected. According to the publishers of the mangas, “We will not hold an interview. We have nothing to say about whether the manga’s content is fiction or real. We’ve never been asked from Korea.”
Through an interview, DSP Media (Kara’s agency) announced that they are planning to take legal measures against these perpetrators.
In addition to all of this, SBS also found users distorting and degrading Korea’s long history. An online user under the name ‘Kimchi Roach’ pretends that he is Korean and has been constantly attacking the history of Korea and mocking the culture. After tracking the IP address, it was found that Kimchi Roach is located in Japan. What’s even more shocking is that an entire organization is behind the username, spreading false notion about Korea.
After this investigation, SBS’ ‘We want to know that’ concluded that the purpose of these right-wing Japanese critics is to not only degrade the Korean Wave, but the entire country itself.

The G8 members of KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘ went on a trip to a hot spring with some of the grandmothers from the village.
On the March 10th episode of ‘Invincible Youth’, the members were seen enjoying their time and participating in various games at the hot spring.
Viewers noticed, in particular, the flawless makeup-free faces of Girls’ Generation members Sunny and Hyoyeon. As they each stared at their reflection in the camera, they commented, “We look like a mess. If possible, please shoot this from afar.”
Sunny then complimented Hyoyeon but disapproved of her own looks by stating, “You look like a nicely peeled onion, but why do I look like a soaked puppy?” and caused viewers to burst into laughter.

miss A’s Suzy and f(x)’s Amber have never been to a bath house before and Sistar’s Bora has not stepped into one after her debut. Upon hearing Sunny’s confession, the members could not hide their curiosity and asked Sunny various kinds of questions.
The curious members asked, “You would be identified and yet, you went there openly?”, “Did you go there after you dyed your hair?” and “How was the reaction from the people at the bath house?” of which Sunny replied, “Wow!”, much to everyone’s amusement.
