120321 Girls’ Generation to Focus on Individual Activities
The Girls’ Generation members plan to concentrate on their individual activities in the first part of 2012, which means more of the girls for Korean fans!
A rep from Girls’ Generation’s agency SM Entertainment told enews on March 21, “Girls’ Generation plans to put more weight on individual activities for the beginning of the year. Yuri and Sooyoung’s transformations into actresses are a part of this plan.”
Recently the members of Girls’ Generation, who have flown across the world to Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Europe, have been appearing in various dramas and variety programs in Korea. The series of appearances are especially notable as they concentrate more on individual talents rather than group activities.
Yuri took on her first official acting role for the SBS drama Fashion King, which aired its first episode on March 19, and Sooyoung will be appearing in tvN’s The Third Hospital, which will start airing its pre-recorded episodes in July.
Yoona, who has been building the most stable acting career out of the members, will be taking on two roles for the KBS2 drama Love Rain, which will be starting up on March 26.
The rep added, “There are members that have become actresses for their solo activities, but others will be showcasing their charms through other areas including variety.”
This year, you’re going to be hit hard with the nine different Girls’ Generation flavors, so keep an eye out!
